The candidate is required to register for appearing in the test as scheduled by NTS. The registration process is given below:

Fill registration form (online) and bank deposit slip from NTS website www.nts.org.pk. (Registration form is available on website only)

Deposit Rs. 1000/- (One Thousand only) for GAT - General Test through online bank deposit slip in the online branches of MCB, UBL, HBL or ABL. (See bank service charges on deposit slip)

Attach 2 photographs (1 x 1.5 inch) at the front of this registration form.

* All candidates are required to provide their photographs with full face exposure.

Do not send any documents other than two photos and original bank deposit slip along with your registration form.

How to Fill the Registration Form ?

Write your desired authentication keyword of 4 digits only (for example: 1234) required for correction (in case of ambiguity) in your information on the provisional candidates list on NTS website. Remember this keyword and keep it with you because it will be required to submit correction query in provisional candidates list later.

Select your rest city for desired test center choice.

Please write your valid email address as your roll number, test center and other information will be sent to you at this email address (keep checking your emails regularly).

Roll number slips and result cards will be sent through courier service. Give valid and clear address where delivery is certain. Candidates must fill the "postal address", "postal city" and "postal city district" in their registration forms to receive the test roll number slip and result card.

In academic record portion, write down your major subjects and percentage of secured marks in two digits only, forms having any information other than percentage will not be processed. In academic record column "Board / University" (please write only particular board name in abbreviation (e.g. FBISE Islamabad, BISE Rawalpindi, BISE Gujranwala, BISE Abbottabad etc.

Incomplete or improperly filled registration forms will not be processed.

Attach the original deposit slip with the duly filled registration form and post it to NTS Islamabad.

Note:

By hand submition of registration form will not be accepted.

The candidates will be required to apply for admission in the universities as per their respective announcements along with a copy of the NTS result card.

Provisional eligible candidates list will be displayed on our website on first come first served basis of the registration form (within one week of the receipt of registration form). Queries regarding provisional data will be accepted within 4 days only.

Final eligible candidates list will be uploaded 2 days after last date of provisional list. Roll number and test center will be allotted in final eligible candidate list.

The roll number slips will be dispatched by NTS about 10 days prior to the test date.

NTS will dispatch the result cards with in 7 days after the test date.

It’s a kind of Graduate Assessment Test (GAT) for students seeking admission in M.Phil and Higher Education Commission Scholarship Scheme. The Higher Education Commission (HEC) has selected National Testing Service (NTS) for the task to arrange GRE style Test i.e. Graduate Assessment Test GAT-GENERAL for admissions in M.Phil and HEC Scholarship Schemes.

GAT (General) test result is considered valid for "TWO YEAR" for admissions in M.Phil and Higher Education Commission Scholarship Schemes.**1)** Those candidates who are completed their sixteen years of education can apply for GAT (General). Candidates who are willing to improve their earlier GAT result can also apply.**2)** Cell phones are not allowed in Test Hall.

As per higher Education Commission Policy decision, GAT (General) result will be considered valid up to two year.
