Lahore: A journalist in Lahore rushed past security and threw a shoe at Chief Minister Punjab Shahbaz Sharif in Lahore on Thursday, but it missed.

The journalist, Imdad Ali, working in private Sindhi television launched the projectile at the CM Punjab as he was a special guest at three-day South Asia Labour Conference.

According to reports, before throwing the show, Ali raised slogans against expected restrictions on a news channel.

A spokesman for Shahbaz Sharif did not immediately respond to comment.

The reports, the security staff of the CM Punjab will investigate the journalist regarding the incident after the incident whether he did it himself or any other power behind the incident.

It is the not the first incident of shoe-thrower in Pakistan as former military ruler Pervez Musharaf and former CM Sindh Arbab Ghulam Rahim also faced the music.

But the most famous event of recent years was the Iraqi journalist who hurled his own footwear at president George W. Bush at a press conference in Baghdad in December 2008.

Muntazer Al Zaidi was sentenced to three years in prison for assaulting a head of state. That was reduced to one year on appeal, and his sentence was cut further for good behaviour.

In February 2009 a German research student threw a shoe at Chinese premier Wen Jiabao during a speech at Cambridge University. Martin Jahnke, 27, was cleared of committing a public order offense.

The word "Help" actually refers to give something without expecting any cost or return. Everyone can do something for each other, even if one has nothing physical to give, he can share something, that is also a great help. Helping other is a priceless happiness that one can feel inside, which makes you fell alive and blessed.
